My neighborhood...

I live in a typical suburban planned unit development in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and farms. I am so grateful that they developed MY community but now I wish they would stop. My community is just to the right of and beyond the farm house in the picture below. You can just see the rooftops. But that farm you are looking at has already been sold to another developer.

Below are some cows that I see on my way to church. Just to the right of them, out of view, is another development going in. I always wonder how long 'til the cows are gone. Across from these cows, and just down the way, used to be a horse farm. It's been gone for about 6 years now. There is a strip mall with a movie theater and loads of restaurants there now.  I like a lot of those restaurants and I eat at them often but I miss the horses. I'll probably go see the new Thor movie in the theater next weekend though.

Below is what I think is the entrance to yet another planned unit community just up from the cows.  That's a pretty little road but it was even prettier when it was all trees.

Here is a field across from my church. The owners are parish members there and they allow overflow parking in part of their field. They are getting older. Not sure if this will stay in the family or not. People around here don't really want to farm anymore. Not sure there is much money in it but land is very valuable and developers will pay a lot for it.

There are mountains all around me. I don't think they can ever take the mountains away. Thank goodness.

I feel pretty selfish. I am very grateful that my neighborhood is here but now I'd like them to stop please.

Austenland

This movie was SO great! Funny even if you aren't an Austenite but FREAKING AWESOME if you are! I am going again pronto before it leaves theaters.
